When importing from Australia I have always followed the principle to get as wide a variation of bloodlines as possible to ensure a breeding basis for Working Kelpies in Sweden. During the 1990ies this stud imported five dogs from Australia.
RIANA DAN from Queensland, where they don´t speak of the number of sheep per hektar but of hektar per sheep. He was used to working with large mobs of several hundred sheep, he had a wide cast and not much eye on a mob, but used it when handling two or three sheep. Among his progeny where Stormkappans Turro, 2nd in Open Class sheepdog trial, and Stormkappans Vizier, 3rd in Open (he only competed once) He in his turn has produced some quality progeny which are still too young to have achieved much at trials, but seven of them are certified sheepdog (which means they have to qualify at a Local Trial). Riana Dan passed away in July 2002 at 15½ years of age,.

WHITES CANDYIII came from the great plains in New South Wales. She has worked both sheep and cattle and received several good placings in Winners´ Class (sheep) and a 3rd in Open (cattle). She had a good deal of eye and a strong walk up. She was the dam of the abovementioned Vizier. She died in the autumn of 2002, 13 years old.

SCANLONS SPLINTER, from the mountain regions of NSW, where the dogs have to work in steep and hilly country often out of sight of the handler. She has competed in both sheepdog and cattledog trials and has attained 2nd prizes in both. Her latest litters are still too young to have done very much at trials, but two of her progeny have been retained in the stud. Splinter was a quiet worker with fluent movements and had great anticipation and break when needed. She was put down because of an illness in the autumn of 2002, not more than 10 years old.

At the moment I have only three dogs at home + one that is away on breeding terms.

YERALDA CHUM (red and tan) comes from northwestern Victoria where the country is pretty flat and the paddocks large. Among his progeny can be mentioned Stormkappans Randi out of Glenlogie Bell, 2nd in Open sheepdog trial, and Stormkappans Uralla and Unti, both certified sheepdogs, out of Alberta, a daughter of Riana Dan x Stormkappans Biara.
His two latest litters, born in 2001 and 2002, have not yet been to any trials.
Chum is 13 years old and has retired, although he still likes to help moving the sheep.

CAGELLA CHELSEA (black
and tan) born Ausgust 1999, also comes from the mountain regions of inner
NSW, where the dogs had to work in difficult terrain with both sheep and
cattle which demands both cautiousness and strength. She represents new
bloodlines (for Sweden) which go back directly back to the original lines
that made the Working Kelpie famous. Chelsea has a lot of anticipation,
she keeps good distance and a lot of working energy. She is a certified
worker.

STORMKAPPANS ETNINJA (red and tan) just 2 years old. She has started working, helps when the sheep are fed and helps moving ewes and lambs from daypaddock to nightpaddock.. She is stable and biddable and not afraid to work in narrow places.

STORMKAPPANS
KYLIE, (black & tan) just a year old has an interesting
pedigree. Her sire is Stormkappans Balleroo, exported to Wales in 1989,
a very good worker whose litter brothers and sisters have done very well
both at sheepdog and cattledog trials. Kylie has started working sheep
and will go to a Local trial later this year.
